Belated congratulations to Genevieve (née Forte) and David Carruthers-Smith on the birth of a baby boy, Lochlann, on the 22 February. Lochlann is the grandson of Kevin & June Forte of Cape Town and the great grandson of the late Tony and Kathy Forte.
Congratulations to Debora Forte and Manuel Rosa on the arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Valentino, who was born yesterday morning in Kilmarnock, Scotland and weighed in at 4 kg.
His nonno Angelo, nonna Maria, his aunts and uncles, Romina and Davide, and Iride and Leonardo, and especially his three little cousins, Maya, Giorgia and Elisa, can’t wait to see him.

We are very sad to hear that Dora Fasana, née Fusco, passed away on Thursday in Belfast at the age of 94. Dora was born in 1926 in Casalattico, the youngest of the seven children of Francesco Fusco and Salva Taddei. She spent much of her long life in Northern Ireland, witnessing so much from World War II including the Belfast Blitz, and then the subsequent troubles. She was a regular visitor to the Festa di S. Antonio in Mortale and we shall miss her stories, her love for our traditions and her gentle but great strength.
Our condolences go to her son Giuseppe and his family, and to all her nephews, nieces and extended family.
