Forte Family History Posts

It is with great sadness that we heard of the death of Tellino this morning at San Raffaele in Cassino.  Born in 1922 in Colle San Magno, Tellino, whose real name was Antonino Vecchio, was married to the late Valentina Forte and spent most of his life in Mortale.  He loved the village and served as a councillor for the Casalattico comune for well over 30 years.  Many generations will remember him working the land and caring for his animals in and around Mortale and, although it is some years since he left the village, he is still remembered by us all with great love and fondness.

Our sincere condolences go to all his family.

Huge congratulations to Antonia Forte and James Digby who were married in the Church of S. Antonio in Mortale last Saturday, joined by family and friends from far and wide as well as locals from the village.  The sun shone on them that day and we wish them lots of health and happiness in the future.  Antonia is the elder daughter of Dominic and Romana Forte from Melrose, and a granddaughter of Anna Nardone.

Belated congratulations to Dino Forte and Natasha Mann, who were married in Scotland last month.  Dino is the son of Dominic and Romana Forte from Melrose, and a grandson of Anna Nardone, well known and much loved by everyone in Mortale.  Along with his Roselli and Taddei roots, Dino’s origins are well and truly from the Casalattico area.
