Congratulations to Antonia and James Digby, who welcomed their son Matteo Forte Digby into the world on the 4th December, making Luca a very happy big brother. This is now Dominic and Romana’s third grandchild, and another great grandchild for Anna Forte (Nardone) of Melrose.

We have just heard the sad news that Hector Forte passed away on Christmas day in hospital in England, after contracting covid.
Our condolences go to his wife, Patricia, children Lisa, Natalie and Paul, and all his grandchildren. Our thoughts are with them and all their extended family in Northern Ireland too, where sadly Hector’s brother, Sammy, also passed away earlier this year.
The whole family will be very sad to hear that Rocco passed away yesterday morning at home in Mortale. He was well known in the local area, much loved and respected by all who have grown up with him over the years and by all those who return regularly from abroad. He was part of the very fabric of Mortale, a friend to everyone, a kind, generous man, and, at 69, taken far too early.
Our sincere condolences go to his wife, Anna, his children Tiziana and Luca, his brother Angeluccio and all their extended families.
