Pisa Marathon

Congratulations to sister and brother, Liz and Chris Forte from Brighton, who successfully completed the Pisa half-marathon and marathon this morning.

Congratulations

Massive congratulations go to Lisa Forte, originally from Bournemouth, who is one of the top 100 winners to be featured in the 2018 TechWomen100 Awards which recognises the achievements of remarkable women in the Technology sector.

Lisa started her career some years ago working in anti-piracy intelligence and was then recruited into British Counter-terrorism intelligence for a UK Government agency.  After moving to one of the UK Police Cyber-Crime Units, she set up her own company, Red Goat Cyber Security, in 2017 and has since gained an admirable reputation as a keynote speaker at major security conferences around the world.

Lisa is the daughter of Adrian Forte, and granddaughter of the late Mariannina and Antonio Forte from Bournemouth and Mortale.

Two Forte Scoops at the Great Taste Awards 2017

Two Forte businesses are celebrating their wins at the 2017 Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink in the UK. These awards have been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’.

Congratulations to Swoon Gelato for being placed in the top 50 of the 2017 Great Taste Awards.  Seven of their gelato flavours were awarded the top 3-star level.

Pictured below are Bruno and Ana Forte from Swanage collecting the award at the prize ceremony.

Congratulations also to Fortes Gelateria in Swanage.  Six of their gelato flavours won awards, with their Sicilian Pistacchio gaining 3 star recognition.  They also won “Small Artisan Producer of the Year”.

Buon Anno 2017

Tanti cari auguri per un felice anno 2017 a Paul ed a tutta la grande famiglia Forte, sperando sempre di mantenere il contatto che ci unisce – fuoriusciti ed oriundi – di Mortale e Casalattico.

Many good wishes for a happy 2017 to Paul and to all the extended Forte family, hoping that we always maintain the bond that unites all of us – emigrants and natives – from Mortale and Casalattico.

103 today!

Congratulations to Rosa Fusco, who is 103 years young today. Rosa lives a healthy and active life in Settignano, between Casalattico and Atina. She goes shopping every day for fresh food, and it wasn’t too long ago that she stopped driving. She is the widow of Antonio Nardone, the daughter of Gerardo Fusco and Clementina Forte, and sister of the late Tony Fusco. She has 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

We all wish her many happy returns today and continued health in the years to come.
