Peter Forte

Peter Forte (1927 – 2012)

I was very saddened to hear of the death of Peter Forte last Thursday evening, October 11th, in Mortale.  Peter had kindly spent many hours helping me with the family research over the last four years and has been invaluable in piecing together certain areas of the family tree.  He was a great story teller and clearly he had plenty to tell after spending many years running a café right in the heart of the Northern Ireland troubles in Belfast.

Peter was an intelligent, well read man and  I will miss his honesty, his openness and his dry wit.  He was 84 years old and our sympathy goes to his sister, Mary, and her family in Scotland.

Dover Codfather

Nino Randolfi was interviewed by The Dover Express last week after being in business in Dover for 40 years.
