Rosa Fusco

Our condolences go to the family of Rosa Fusco, who passed away at the grand age of 105 in early September in Settignano.  She was the widow of Antonio Nardone, the daughter of Gerardo Fusco and Clementina Forte, and sister of the late Tony Fusco from San Nazzario. Our thoughts are with her three children, Luigi, Gerardo and Onorina, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all their families far and wide.

Rosa was a well-respected lady in and around Casalattico and Settignano, in Northern and Southern Ireland, and in Dover, where she was once in the catering business.  Indeed, she was the first Italian lady to open ice cream parlours in both Northern and Southern Ireland.

Many will miss her friendship, strength and wisdom.

RIP my grand aunt, Zia Rosa Fusco, who married my grandfathers brother, Antonio Nardone. I am sad I did not get to Italy to meet her. Condolences to the family, my cousins.
