Many congratulations go to Callum Bain and Debbie Rooney, who were married in Alvito last Friday.
Callum is the son of Nicci Forte and John Bain, and grandson of the late Jimmy and Joyce Forte from Galashiels. Celebrations continued with a huge party on Saturday evening at La Soda in Mortale, ending with a spaghettata in the early hours.
We all wish them a happy future together and best of luck with the Mortale house renovations too.
Huge congratulations go to Charlie Forte and Rosie Scott on their marriage in early May in London. Charlie is the son of Alfie and Ann Forte, and the grandson of the late Charles Forte and Emilia Magliocco (Brighton).
Charlie and Rosie were in Mortale for the Festa di S. Antonio in 2014, and we all welcome Rosie to the Forte family, wishing them both all the happiness in the world for their future together.
Congratulations to Leonardo Forte and Iride Tavolieri on the birth of Giorgia in Scotland on 5th July. A lovely sister for Maya, another beautiful niece for Romina and Debora , and a granddaughter for the proud nonni, Angeluccio and Maria.
I am very saddened to hear of the death of Sandra Magliocco in Gaeta, and our condolences go to her husband, Franco Santoro, and to her brother and sister, Tony and Anna, as well as all the Maglioccos from Santa Caterina and further afield. She was the daughter of the late Luigi Magliocco and Elena Forte, and granddaughter of the late Antonio Magliocco and Pace Forte.
Sandra was a lovely lady, bursting with cheerful enthusiasm, and always ready with an entertaining story to tell. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral will be on Tuesday in Casalattico.
