Congratulations to Amie Letts, who married John Tighe today near Guildford. Amie is the daughter of Mena Forte and Tony Letts, granddaughter of the late Charles Forte and Emilia Magliocco (Brighton).

Congratulations to Jessica and Steve Pilfold on the birth of twins, Lisa Arianna and Max Rafael, on February 2nd, pictured here with their older sister, Kara.
The children’s proud grandparents are Sandra and Colin Bestley, and great grandparents were the late Iolanda and Olimpio Forte from Bexhill.
Bristol’s newest gelateria will be opening its doors for the first time on 11th February and we wish Bruno and Ana Forte from Swanage, and Patricia Forte from Bristol the best of luck with their new venture, Swoon Gelato.
Following a family tradition going back to their grandparents, Alfonso Forte and Adelina Mezza (Swanage), and using traditional Italian recipes and ingredients, this generation of Fortes are about to dazzle the people of Bristol with an authentic Italian taste sensation like no other.

Another five newly digitised films have gone into the Festas on Film section of the website. They were all shot by Ettore Forte and date back to the late 80s and early 90s.
Of particular note is the Festa di S. Antonio of 1988, during which the recently ordained Don Franco Facchini, son of Maria Antonia Forte, celebrates his first ever mass as a priest.
The film of the Festa della Madonna del Carmine of 1989 also contains something unique, but I will allow the more perceptive amongst you to work that one out.
