Fortes Award Winning Ice Cream

Congratulations to David Forte and all at Forte’s Ice Cream, Llandudno, who have recently won a prestigious 3-star award for their Mascarpone and Caramelised Fig Ice Cream in the 2015 UK Great Taste Awards. Of the 10,000 international entries, only 130 won 3-star awards, and of those, only 10 were from Wales.

David is the sister of Angela, son of Rinaldo and Franca Forte, grandson of the late Onorio Forte and Rosina Cirefice, and great grandson of the late Gioacchino and Angelantonia Forte, all of whom have been involved in preserving the traditions of this longstanding catering business.  Based on Onorio’s ice cream recipe of 1926, when he first set up the business, his grandson David now runs this well known local business in Llandudno, and supplies his ice cream to many businesses far and wide.

A Forte Wedding

Congratulations to Donato Forte and Danielle Matanle, who were married on Saturday afternoon at All Saints Chapel, Eastbourne.

Donato is the middle son of Wendy and Antonio Forte (Eastbourne/St. Leonard’s), and grandson of the late Augusto and Minchetta Forte (Eastbourne).

Welcome to the Forte family, Danielle!

A New Baby Girl in the Family

Congratulations to Ben and Terrie Langdown on the birth of Lilly, in the early morning of Tuesday 4th August.  She weighed in at 6lbs 10 oz and everyone, including two-year-old brother Charlie, is delighted to welcome her to the family.

Ben is the elder son of Tony Langdown and Adelina Forte, who is the daughter of the late Patsy and Gerry Forte from Swanage.

Lilly’s great great grandparents were Vincenzo Forte and Pasqualina Forte (Belfast), and Alfonso Forte and Adelina Mezza (Swanage), but she’s a bit too young to appreciate that at the moment.
