The first episode of Alex Polizzi’s new four-part series, called Secret Italy, was shown on Channel 5 in the UK last night. She visited Venice and Milan and shared her memories of going to Venice as a child to see her grandmother Irene’s family. The episode will be repeated at 3.10 am on Sunday 26th October and at 12.15 pm on Wednesday 29th October.
Next Friday 31st October at 9 pm, the second episode will be shown on Channel 5. It is in this episode that Mortale’s Festa di S. Antonio will be shown, as Alex happened to be in the village on 13th June to share in the festivities. This second episode will be repeated on Saturday 1st November at 12.50 pm.
A short 4½ minute film showing highlights of this year’s Festa della Madonna del Carmine is now available on the website. The Festa took place on the evening of Saturday, 11th October in Mortale and was well attended.
