Forte Family History Posts

Congratulations to Renato and Marianne Sormani, who were married last week at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Bath.  The reception was held at Orchardleigh House and everyone enjoyed performances from opera tenors and sopranos as well as fireworks and a disco.  Renato is the grandson of the late Rosa Forte and Ettore Vella from Weston-super-Mare and many of the Forte family attended, including Lucia and her son Adam, Marie-Josephe with her daughters, Lauren and Lisa, Trevor and Bruna, and many others. Sadly, Richard and Angela were unable to attend and were greatly missed.

Pietro Borza (1922 – 2012)

I am very sorry to hear that Piero died in Charleroi yesterday, 25th October.  This summer Piero left Mortale to return to live in Belgium.  Aged 90, he was one of the real characters in Mortale and will be greatly missed there.

Piero was the son of Pasquale Borza from Montattico and Teresona Cafolla from Mortale.  Piero’s maternal grandmother was Luigia Forte, sister of Maria Teresa and Caterina Antonia Forte.  Piero’s late wife was Augusta and our condolences go to their four sons Bruno, Aldo, Walter and Evo, and their families.

Maya, the newest Forte in Mortale was born yesterday, October 19th.  Massive congratulations to her proud parents Leonardo Forte and his fiancée Iride Tavolieri, grandparents Angeluccio and Maria, and aunts Romina and Debora.

Elio and Chiara Forte from New Ross, Eire, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary back in September.  Huge congratulations to these two very special people.
